John Kemp Lee

Sculpture

John Kemp Lee was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He holds a BA in psychology from Dartmouth College, completed the BFA degree program at the Maine College of Art, and earned an MFA in sculpture from the University of Pennsylvania. 

His work has been shown widely in the United States and abroad, most recently with a one-person show at the Kouros Gallery in New York City, and a travelling group exhibition originating in Balchick, Bulgaria. His work is found in numerous private and collegiate collections throughout the United States.

Lee has taught classes in sculpture, drawing, the figure, and printmaking in the Studio Art Department of Dartmouth since 1984.
